
IMA Chamber Music Workshop, July 7-11

This workshop gives string students a place to learn the art of chamber music performance with daily coaching from world-renowned faculty. Ages 10-24 are encouraged to apply. A variety of learning experiences from practice techniques, sight-reading and performances round out this vibrant and popular workshop. Held in downtown Corvallis, in the heart of the Willamette Valley.
Open to individuals and pre-formed groups. Trios to octets.
The IMA Chamber Music Workshop features a residence option for ages 12 and up.

Tuition, Housing
Day Camp: $550
Residential: $1,125, including housing and family-style cooked meals

Faculty
Faculty for the 2025 IMA Chamber Music Workshop are internationally-renowned. Headed by Curtis-trained violinist Anthea Kreston and Cellist Jason Duckles, who have toured with Yo-Yo Ma.
Faculty have taught at the University of Oregon, the Queen Elizabeth in Brussels, Curtis, and Wesleyan University.

Auditions
The workshop is Suzuki Book 2 or equivalent up to Paganini Caprices. We have space for all students interested in learning the art of small ensemble playing.
Deadline: May 1, open until filled
Intermediate Students
Two 2 octave or 3 octave scales (one major and one minor) and one piece; total audition time less than 10 minutes.
Advanced Students
Two 3 octave or 4 octave scales (one major and one minor) and two contrasting pieces; less than 12 minutes.
Piano Accompaniment not required
